An Australian native, Callistemon Great Balls of Fire is grown for its striking foliage. It rarely flowers but makes an impact with its bright red new growth. Growing in a ball shape to a height of 1-2 metres, its papery leaves and dense habit make it a low maintenance hedge.
Callistemon Great Balls of Fire grows well in diverse conditions. Hardy and once established is very drought tolerant. Can be grown as a foreground plant in landscaping designs. Use in place of Nandina in median strips and roundabouts. Small gardens, patios and courtyards will welcome the splash of colour. Regular pruning will encourage a more defined shape and new growth.
Grown in a 42mm tube – 108 to a tray. Wholesale orders only.
