Tulbaghia violacea – known as Society Garlic is a strappy, clumping plant with a dainty flower stem with lilac flowers. Vigorous perennial, it has narrow leaves, suited to small gardens, rockeries and on patios in pots. Gives off a strong odour resembling garlic.

Myoporum ellipticum is a hardy native ground cover that grows well on banks to aid in stabilisation and suppressing weeds. Glossy green leaves tolerant of frost and commonly grown in coastal areas facing high winds and salt spray. Also growing well in humid conditions.
